The short version
Hi, I’m Ameli! I’m happy to be part of the Yagel Therapy Services team and enjoy being behind the scenes, helping things run smoothly. I’m always up for learning something new and finding ways to stay organized. When I’m not at work, I love going on road trips and finding new places to explore. I also enjoy discovering new music and spending time with my doggies. They’re a big part of my life and never fail to make me smile!

For a child who finds new people hard, one thing in common is a place to start.
- Favorite dinosaur?
- My favorite dinosaur is a Stegosaurus because of the way their spines and tails were adorned to protect themselves.
- Do you have a pet?
- Yes, I have two adorable fur babies! Their names are Nena and Rufus, and they are pretty small, but they have huge personalities.
- Favorite color?
- My favorite color is teal, but I love anything that’s blue and greenish.
- What did you want to be when you grew up?
- Growing up, I wanted to be an artist or a math teacher because those were my two favorite subjects.
- Favorite thing about working at Yagel?
- My favorite thing is being part of a caring team and knowing that the work I do behind the scenes helps our patients get their services.
- Best thing about El Paso?
- For me, I think the best thing about El Paso would be the sunsets. I love how colorful our sunsets are, especially with the view of the mountains.
Something I am still bad at
I am still pretty bad at parking my car, though I’m kind enough to try to park out of others’ way or have my boyfriend park.
Why this page exists. A child who knows their therapist also likes dinosaurs walks in with something to say. For a child with autism or sensory differences, a shared interest is a way to settle, not a nice detail. Everyone here answered these questions in their own words.
