Things you can ask me
For a child who finds new people hard, one thing in common is a place to start.
- Favorite dinosaur?
- Toss up between a Brachiosaurus and a Stegosaurus. Love the long neck, but the spikes on the Stegosaurus are awesome too.
- Do you have a pet?
- 4 horses, 3 dogs.
- Favorite color?
- Purple.
- What did you want to be when you grew up?
- An equine lameness veterinarian.
- Favorite thing about working at Yagel?
- Getting to work with people who are like my family.
- Best thing about El Paso?
- The weather.
Something I am still bad at
I’m an enthusiastic over-analyzer.
In practice
- Years as an OTA
- 17+ (the last nine focused on pediatrics)
- Education
- Associate of Science, Occupational Therapy Assistant — Western New Mexico University (2007)
Why this page exists. A child who knows their therapist also likes dinosaurs walks in with something to say. For a child with autism or sensory differences, a shared interest is a way to settle, not a nice detail. Everyone here answered these questions in their own words.
